"Estate to be divided equally among my five children: one. William, 2.Samuel, 3. Alexander 4. Parthenia Fourgurean, and five. Susanna Pate, tract of land whereon I now live, and tract purchased from William J. Moore.
All my other property of every description is to be sold as executors shall think proper, with the Money arising from sale:
Wife Catherineis to be paid $34,000 also $100 worth of silver that is now in the house, my Family Bible, a new side saddle and all the bed clothing that she has made since I married her.
Son, Alexander $1000 to make him equal residue in 6 parts to my 5 children Parthenia Fourqurean, William Watkins, Samuel Watkins, Alexander Watkins, Susanne Pate, and Grandchild, Patsy Adams.
I wish wants left to be divided into 2 equal parts: Patsy to have ½ and the other ½ between her two first children, William, and Rebecca Jordan.

Martha (Patsy married first Jordan, 2nd Thomas Adams in 1825. Indenture July 20, 1850 between William Watkins, Ex. Of Thomas Watkins will and George Richardson. By authority of the will, sale of acres on the Dan River, reserving ¾ acres for use as Watkins Family burial ground."
