Description

At the heart of the Gornergrat skiing/hiking district, the luxurious Riffelalp Resort 2222m lies 2,222 meters (7,290 ft.) above sea level. The location offers a unique alpine panorama, while benefiting from the favorable microclimatic conditions. The first Grand Hotel was built between 1878?1884, but completely destroyed by fire in 1961. 1988?1998, the Berghotel Riffelalp opened again to visitors. December 1, 2000 marked the opening of Riffelalp Resort 2222m, offering all the services and amenities of a modern five-star hotel. Our Wellness Center, "St.-Trop-Alp" with indoor pool and Europe?s highest outdoor swimming pool (35C), stone steam bath, stone grotto, various massages and dream-time-world welcomes you. *** Seasonal Closing: April 15, 2007 to June 15, 2007.

• Guest Rooms: In the "Chalet" and "Nostalgie" rooms we have the possibility of connecting rooms. Mainly a Junior Suite with a Standard room. Please ask at the hotel for further details. A1J Junior Suite Chalet * Junior suite "Chalet" style, ouble or twin bedded with a sitting corner with one sofa and one armchair. Room size from 48-60 m2 with balcony and view to the Matterhorn. The rooms are modern but warmly chalet-style decorated with all five star amenities including cable TV in a variety of languages, direct-dial telephones, modem, and fax sockets. All bathrooms offer their own Jacuzzi. B1J Superior Nostalgie * Double or twin-bedded room Nostalgie superior style with a sitting corner with one sofa and one armchair. Room size from 31-37 m2 with a view to the Matterhorn. The rooms are decorated in a comfortable and cosy way with all five star amenities. All bathrooms offer their own Jacuzzi. A1D/A2T Standard Room Chalet * Double or twin-bedded room in "Chalet"-style with a sitting corner and all five star amenities most with balcony and view to the Matterhorn, some without balcony and view to the Matterhorn. Bathrooms offer their own Jacuzzi. B1D/B2T Standard Room Nostalgie * Cosy and comfortable double or twin-bedded room "Nostalgie" with sitting corner and all five star amenities. Some Most with view to the Matterhorn, some without view to the Matterhorn. C1D Single Room Chalet * Single "Chalet"-style with 2 chairs and all five star amenities. Most with balcony and view to the Matterhorn, some without balcony and view to the Matterhorn. Bathrooms offer their own Jacuzzi. A2S - Suite Matterhorn 2 bdm Suite Matterhorn with two bedrooms, bathroom with shower, bathroom with Hammam, living room, balcony with view to the Matterhorn and all five star amenities. B1S - Suite Monte Rosa 1 bdm Suite Monte Rosa with one bedroom, bathroom with shower, bathroom with Hammam, living room, balcony with view to the Matterhorn and all five star amenities.

From 29 to 15 days Prior To Arrival (PTA) 30pct; From 14 to 7 days PTA 50pct; From 6 to 0 days PTA 100pct. Between the dates of 23Dec to 06Jan cancellations must be made by 01Nov in order to avoid a cancellation fee of 50pct/ 100pct of full stay.
