Description

Originally created as a guest quarters in 1400, it was enlarged in the 1800s and in 1975 it became part of the group of Bettoja Hotels. The Villa originated as a sleeping quarters to the Monastery certosa of Galluzo, one of the most important monasteries in Europe. It was renovated along with other farmyard structures to include a total of 63 rooms and 6 suites, some decorated in rustic Tuscan style and some modern. The rooms and suites overlook the magnificent park which surrounds them, and boast a view of the Tuscan hills and the Certosa. Whether it be for tourism or business, the stay offers the advantage of absolute tranquility amidst green, only minutes from the historical center of Florence. Many are the characteristics of the hotel giving you a relaxing sensation in complete harmony with nature and, being near the Chianti region, allows you to easily plan a visit to one of the many famous vineyards and wine cellars in the area. The Relais Villa offers modern meeting and banquet facilities, tennis courts, bar and a welcoming restaurant where typical delicious Tuscan dishes are prepared and served - lunch and dinner can also be served in the garden or under the gazebo. The hotel is located 500 meters from the Firenze-Certosa exit coming off the motorway A1 on Via Chiantigiana. Take the A11-E76 -1.7km- in the direction to Bologna-Pisa Nord-Roma. After 4km take the A1-E65 -15.6km- in the direction of Bologna-Roma.
