DNA stands for deoxyribonucleic acid an organic chemical complex molecular structure that is in the cell nuclei as constituent of chromosomes where it encodes genetic data.

Every strand of DNA is similar in composition. A molecule of DNA resembles twisted strands of thread composed of sugar and phosphate. Each strand has a chemical base. This base is composed of nitrogen attracting compounds. There are four different compounds. The chemical compounds pair off and line up in different order forming a pattern. This pattern is known as the DNA sequence. The pattern is similar to the binary code of a computer. The different patterns that the chemical compounds can form is estimated to be 3.5 billion pairs. This chemical sequence is called the genome
