Chicken and Dumplings is a southern dish. Its very easy to make. I known people to use chicken noodle soup for replace the chicken and just cook the dumpling in the soup. Chicken and dumplings is a satisfying meal. its easy and quick to make. Warning: Always Make sure Chicken is done before you eat it. Juices will run clear, meat will be white to the bone. No pink or red. Raw chicken or chicken not cooked properly can be deadly. Chicken and Dumpling Recipe Ingredients
To Prepare Recipe: Boil the chicken until meat falls from bone. Remove from heat and remove Chicken from broth. Remove skin and bones. Return meat to broth. Skim fat from broth if excessive. Set aside. Season to Taste. Take flour and add water to form dough. Roll dough out flat and cut in strips. Take dough strips and put in broth with chicken. Bring to a boil. Cover and then simmer for 5-6 minutes. Dumplings will rise to the top. Remove from heat if desired put into oven to brown. Some people thicken the broth to make gravy, others don't. An easier variation of this recipe is to substitute a can of biscuits for the flour and water dough mix.
