These cakes are wonderful. The cake recipes are quick and easy to make because you start with cake mixes.  No need to sift flour etc. just add the extra ingredients to the mix. They're really moist too. Be sure to check out the chocolate cake recipe. Enjoy!

Cherry Cobbler Cake | Devil's Food Delight | Rum cake

Microwave single serving cake

This recipe is quick and simple to make. Its lower in calories than a slice of the whole cake cause it doesn't contain the oil or an egg.

• 1/4 cup of any flavored Cake Mix
• 2 Tablespoons of water
• Very small plastic bowl

Put cake mix in small bowl. Add water. Cook in microwave for 30 seconds. If the batter still looks wet return to microwave for another 10 seconds. let cool or eat hot with a dab of vanilla ice cream. I tried this with Betty Crocker's triple chocolate super moist cake mix. Its good. If you prefer a richer taste add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil with the water. However, this will raise the calories in the cake.

Rum Cake Mix Recipe

Preheat oven to 325 degrees

Recipe Ingredients

• 1 cup chopped Pecans or walnuts
• 1 18oz pkg. Yellow cake mix
• 1 €“ 3 ¾ oz pkg. Vanilla pudding mix
• ½ cold water
• ½ cup vegetable oil
• ½ cup dark rum (80 proof)

To Prepare Recipe: Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan or 12 cup Bundt pan.  Sprinkle nuts over bottom of pan. Mix all cake Recipe Ingredients  together. Pour batter over nuts. Bake one hour. Cool. Invert on serving plate. Prick top with fork. Drizzle graze (below) evenly over top and sides. Allow cake to absorb glaze. Repeat till glaze is used up.

Glaze

• ¼ lb. Butter
• ¼ cup water
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• ½ cup dark rum (80 proof)

To Prepare Recipe glaze: Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in water and sugar. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in rum. Optional: decorate with whole maraschino cherries. Border of sugar frosting or whipped cream. Serve with seedless grapes dusted with powder sugar.

Cherry Cobbler Cake Mix Recipe

• 2 jars cherry pie filling
• 1 package of yellow cake mix
• 2 sticks butter or margarine

Pour pie filling into 9x13-inch pan; spread evenly. Sprinkle cake mix over top. Be sure to cover all the pie filling. Cut margarine into thin pats. Cover entire top of mixture with butter or margarine pats. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Cut in square to serve. Serve 10

Devilish Delight Cake Mix Recipe

• 2 cans cherry pie filling
• 1 package of devils food cake mix
• 1 cup melted butter
• 1 6 oz pkg. Semi-sweet chocolate chips
• ice cream or whipped cream

Spread pie filling evenly in 13x9-inch pan. Sprinkle evenly with dry cake mix. Drizzle melted butter over cake mix. Top with chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 60-70 minutes. ( cake will wiggle and soft, but will set when cooling. Serve warm or cold with ice cream or whipped cream.
