Bread is a stable food. At one time, people ate bread for their entire meal. People break bread with others as a social, friendly thing to do. Quick breads are not that hard to make. Bread is often a side dish. Many people don't consider a meal a meal unless they have bread. There is nothing like the smell of bread baking in an oven. It will make your mouth water every time. The Zucchini bread recipe is my favorite. These are quick bread recipes.

Nothing better than smelling banana nut bread baking in the oven. It's inexpensive, uses up ripe bananas you did not eat. Most likely you have the ingredients in your pantry to make this delicious bread. It makes a good breakfast cake or dessert.

Moist Banana Bread Recipe

pre-heat oven to 350 degrees

Ingredients

• 1/3 soften butter (real butter is better)
• 1/2 Cup of sugar
• 4 ripe bananas mashed
• 1 3/4 Cups of Biscuit or self-rising flour
• 2 beaten eggs
• 1/2 Cup of chopped walnuts or Pecan Pieces

To Prepare Recipe: Cream together the butter and sugar, add beaten eggs. Mix well. Alternate adding flour and mashed bananas, blending well with each addition. Fold in nuts. Spray an 8x8 pan with non-stick cooking spray. Fill one 8x8 pan with batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Allow to cool before cutting.

Yeast Breads

If you want to bake yeast breads, I suggest you invest in a good bread making machine and follow their recipe. Yeast bread takes a long time to make. My first yeast bread attempt ended in disaster. The water I used was too hot and killed the yeast. I didn't know it. I kneaded the bread too long. The bread was so hard a hammer wouldn't break it. I dont bake yeast bread because it is too much work and time and it may not come out right. You have to kneed it so long, let it sit so long and then do it again. So, you see, its better to buy a bread machine if you want fresh yeast bread and buy the mix for the dough.
