This is a delicious recipe from my mother's famous recipe collection and a family favorite! This easy desert is low-fat, low-sugar, low calorie, fiber-filled, actually good for you - a healthy dessert, and Tastes great! Preparation time: 15 minutes

Apple Crisp Recipe

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees

Ingredients

  • Apples (enough to fill a 8x8 baking pan) peeled, cored and sliced
  • 3/4 Cup of flour
  • 1/2 Cup of sugar
  • 1-2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 1/4 stick of butter or margarine
  • 8x8 pan - spray coated with cooking spray

To Prepare Recipe

Put peeled apples in 8x8 pan. Mix flour, sugar, and cinnamon. Add butter. Using fork, cut butter into flour mixture until crumbly. Take this mixture and cover apples, pressing mixture into apples. Bake in 350-degree oven for 45 minutes. Cool and serve with cool whip.

Apple Crisp Recipe with Oatmeal Topping

bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes

ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/8 tsp. baking powder
  • 4 cups of sliced apples
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp. flour

To Prepare:

Mix apples, sugar and flour. Pour into a square pan.

Combine remaining ingredients, mix well. Poor over apple mixture.
