The Old timey Fall Festival will be held in Burnsville Town Square on September 29th. Burnsville is near Mt. Mitchell which is north of Asheville. There will be antiques, food, entertaiment and crafts.

NC Mountain State Fair

The Annual NC Mountain State Fair began today. Its held at the WNC Ag center near the Asheville Airport. My daughter and grandkids are going tomorrow. They go every year. There will be lots of games, rides, food. There will also be livestock and arts & crafts on display. It looks like the weather will be good this weekend. The temperture is expected to be in the 80 s. Blue and Gray heritage weekend

The Blue and the Gray heritage weekend will be held in Mills River at the corner of Hwy. 191 and McDowell Road on September 28th thru the 30th. Mills Rivers is a small community right outside of Hendersonville which is not far Asheville. This is a Civil war living history encampment. There will be artifacts, food and music. The closest lodging in Asheville to this event is Comfort Suites or Country Inn And Suites By Carlson located on Brevard Rd in West Asheville.

Inspirations Labor Day Festival

The Inspirations Labor Day Festival will be held in Bryson City at Inspirations Park on September 1st thru the 2nd. Bryson City is near Cherokee which isn’t far from Asheville. It is also known as Singing in the Smokies. For nearly 30 years, this gospel music event has been one of the largest of its kind.
