Posted in restaurants at 9:07 am by admin

Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant located on tunnel rd in Asheville, shut down yesterday. I will miss eating here. it was one of my favorite restaurants in Asheville. I enjoyed the citrus chicken and the brocolli. The prices of the meals were reasonable too. The same company owns Carrabass and Outback which are both located on Tunnel Rd.

asheville zoo

Posted in attractions, wildlife at 8:21 am by admin

simply put, there is no asheville zoo. However, there is a WNC nature center that could pass as one. It is located at 75 Gashes Creek Road in East Asheville, NC. The facility is limited to animals, reptiles and plants that live in the Appalachain region. Most children in the Asheville area have visited the nature center via a school field trip. The center is open all year round except for some holidays. There is a small admission fee. They offer summer camp, classes, crafts, birthday parties and other programs for kids. If you are searching for the North Carolina State Zoo, see information on the Asheboro Zoo. The closest zoos to Asheville are the Greenville Zoo in SC and the Knoxsville Zoo in Tennessee.

beautiful day

Posted in weather at 3:29 pm by admin

today it was close to 70 degrees here in Asheville NC. Early this morning you needed a jacket by afternoon you could do without the coat. The sky was clear and the sun was bright. It was still muddy after yesterdays rain. More warm temperatures are expected the rest of the week. So, get out and enjoy this beautiful weather cause its very likely its not going to last.
