tripps again

we went out to eat last night at around 6:00pm. It was a Saturday. We started looking on tunnel rd for a place to eat where we didn’t have to wait. We tried O’Charleys thinking that since it was off the road we wouldn’t have to wait. Wrong! It would have been a 15 minute wait so we went on down the road. The Outback restaurant looked full so did Red Lobster so we decided to go downtown Asheville and ended up at Tripps restaurant. It wasn’t too crowded we were able to get seated immediately. As always, the waiter and service were excellent. Our dinners cost with tip about $40.00. I ordered the New Orleans chicken and shrimp. I wasn’t too pleased with the dish cause it was way too spicy for me. Next time, I will simply order grilled chicken with the vegetable of the day. They have steaks which is always a good choice but I didn’t want to pay $16.00 or more for my meal and the size of the steak was way too much anyway. This is true about any where you go. Why can’t restaurants serve smaller portions and cut the price abit? A serving size is 3oz. not 14oz plus. Most restaurants serve one person enough for 3 to 4 meals in one sitting.
